- UV Protective Coating – When an epoxy floor is exposed to sunlight, it will fade and be yellow. It’s a chemical reaction when the epoxy is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light. COAT Systems used a UV protective coating to prevent your flooring from yellowing or fading for years to come.
